Santa's Busy In The Kitchen

Hi Everyone~

I have a quick post for you today- I have to take the dog to the vet to have his leg checked. I made this card using this very cute Santa baking up some Christmas cookies. I again made another easel card, I just love them. They are so cute to display.

This is the card propped up in it's easel position. I just love this Santa from WOJ. He's the only man you will catch baking in my kitchen. LOL!! I colored him in with copics and added some white gel pen. The fur trim on his hat is fuzzed up with Fun Flock.

This is a view of the front of the card.
And this is a pic of the image.
Stamps: Whiff of Joy
Ink: Memento, copics and white gel pen
Paper: SU and Gooseberry Patch
Embellies: Ribbon from Michael's (last year), Buttons from WalMart and Stickles
That's it for today unless I get a chance to stamp a little later. *fingers crossed* Have a lovely day (the sun is shining beautifully here but.... it is very cold). Come see me again.

Pa Rum Pa Pum Pum!

Hello friends~

Sorry it has been a few days. There just seems to be so much to do lately. Tuesday I had a wonderful day with my dear friends, Donna, Tracy and Dorothy, we went to Minneapolis and visited some stores and took in a class at Archiver's. Oh what a fun day I had and with such great company. We did get into some snow and yucky roads on the way home, but we made it safely.

This is another easel card I made with this very cute High Hopes stamp. I used my copics to color the image. I just love these easel cards and they are so easy to make.

This is a view of the front. I used my Cuttlebug to emboss the paper. The snowflakes are made using a Martha punch and adding brad to the center.

This is a closer look at the image, I did a little doodling around the border.....
and a closer look at the embellishments and sentiment.
Stamps: High Hopes, Stampendous and Penny Black (sentiment inside)
Ink: Memento, SU Doodle pen and Copics
Tools: MS snowflake punch, SU scalloped border punch, Cuttlebug and embossing folder
Embellishments: Brads, twill tape and twine from my stash
That's it, stop back soon- I hope to get more cards on here. If you wish let me a comment, I look forward to reading them. Take care and have a great evening.

A Gift From Robin for Mojo Monday Challenge

Hello All~

I hope you all had a nice weekend. I can not believe how fast Christmas is coming, I have so much to do yet. I thought I would get my tree up this weekend but.....it just didn't happen. Yesterday we sawed firewood and a girl has got to fit in a little stamping. Today we went to my nephew Luke's birthday party and.....I did some more stamping.

This is a card I made for Mojo Monday, yeah I know nothing like waiting til the last minute. It was a pretty simple sketch, sometimes I like those. I used this very sweet little bear and robin from Stampvie. I used my copics and added some white fun flock to the bear's hat and stickles on the snow and holly. This designer paper is from Paper Pizzazz. I did a little faux stitching around the outside with my ScorBug and white gel pen. The image is cut out using the Cuttlebug and Nestabilities.

Here is a look at the focal part of the card......
and this is a close up of how I did the sentiment. I used a leaf I got a long time ago and added some red flat backed pearls to make it look like holly.
Stamps: Stampavie and Great Impressions
Paper: SU and Paper Pizzazz
Ink: Memento and Copics
Tools: Cuttlebug, Nesties, Corner Punch, ScorPal and ScorBug
Miscellaneous: Stickles, White Fun Flock and leaf and pearls from my stash
Thanks for coming by and please tell me what you think by leaving a little comment. Have a good evening and stop back soon.

Meet Tilda Under The Mistletoe- Stamptacular Sunday Challenge

Hi All~

I hope you are all enjoying your weekend. Today I have a card I made for the Stamptacular Sunday Challenge. They want us to "weave it" so weavingI did! This was a tough one for me, I wanted to come up with something really original but.......nothing came to me so I wove ribbon into my card.

I made this using my Mistletoe Tilda, isn't she soooo adorable?! I colored with copics. I used my Cuttlebug to emboss with a folder and then punched holes to weave the ribbon into. I then used my little Sizzlit die to cut out these leaves, now the leaves are more pointed so I trimmed them with y scissors and made them a little more rounded at the tips to resemble a mistletoe leaf a little more (or what I thought looked more like a mistletoe leaf). Then I glued some pearl beads on for the berries.
Here's a closeup of the 'mistletoe' I made.
Stamps: Magnolia and Fiskars
Cardstock: SU
Ink: Memento,SU, copics and white gel pen
Tools: Cuttlebug, Embossing folder, Sizzlit die, hole punch and SU circle punches
Embellishments: Ribbon and pearl beads from my stash
Thanks for stopping in to visit me and please come again. Let me a little comment if you wish. And have a great rest of the weekend.

Penny Black Challenge

Hello again~

This is a card I made for the Penny Black Challenge. This is kinda a fun stamp to work with.

I again made it into an easel card..I just love these.

I colored it with my copics and did a little doodling around the image. I didn't have the right colored ribbon so I used one of my copics to 'dye' my white ribbon to match.
Just a fun card!
Stamps: Penny Black and Studio G
Paper: SU, Bazzill and DP by American Crafts
Tools: SU punches
Ink: Memento, SU, Copics, Doodle pen and white gel pen
Embellishments: button and ribbon from my stash
Thanks again and please let me know what you think.

Sweet Candy Cane Tilda

Hello Everyone~

It's been a while. I hope everyone that celebrates Thanksgiving had a good one. I sure did, it is always nice to be with family, not to mention all the delish food.
The extra people in the house last weekend made for a busy one, but I love having my kids home. Heidi, my youngest, had to work this weekend so she was unable to spend Thanksgiving with us. I did get a chance to do a LITTLE, and I mean little, Christmas shopping on Friday. I didn't want to fight the crowds, I did that last year and that was enough fun to last me for a while, so I went out a little later with my Mom after the big sales were done. On Tuesday I met with my stamping pals and we made some Christmas cards (I will post them later). So I finally sat down and stamped this today.

I made this card for the Just Magnolia Challenge but think I missed it. I had some problems with my camera. BUT I do have a card for you to see and one less card on my list to make!! I used this adorable Tilda with Candy Cane from Magnolia...isn't she so cute?! She is colored with copics. I found this designer paper, and was so sad that I took the last sheets of it (well at least someone was sweet enough to let me one of each) I love it!

Here are the snowflakes I made for embellishments......

this is the tag I made....
and this is a close up of the image. Oh! she is soooo CUTE!!
Stamps: Magnolia and dollar stamp from Michaels
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, SU Always Artichoke, Distressing Ink Antique Linen, and Copics
Paper: SU Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip and Riding Hood Red, Bazzill
DP: Figgy Pudding from Basic Grey
Tools: SU Tag Punches and Scalloped Border, Martha Snowflake and EK Success Snowflake
Embellishments: Brads and Button from stash
That's it...hope you enjoy it. Thanks for stopping in and come again. And tell me what ya think, I love reading the comments, a big thanks to all of you. Have a great evening.

But do remember to be thankful for your many blessings and enjoy time with your loved ones.

I combined two challenges in this one.....Stamptacular Sunday Challenge wants Fall colors (easy enough) and Create 4 Fun Challenge (which was a sketch). Very simple card.
A closer view of the image (sorry about the shadows, it was hard to take a pic).
And a closer look at the embellies.

Edwin & Tilda Skating for a Challenge

Hi Everyone~

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I had an enjoyable weekend with my daughters visiting. I made a turkey and all the goodies that go with it yesterday and we kinda celebrated an early Thanksgiving dinner. Heidi, my youngest, has to work the holiday....so this way she and Eric could have turkey with the family.

I made this card last night to relax and unwind after a busy day in the kitchen. I did it for the Magnolia November Sketch Challenge. Don't Tilda and Edwin just make the cutest couple?! I had this paper in a big stack I bought last year at JoAnn's and just had to use the paper with the skates with this stamp. I stamped the image with my copics and highlighted with my white gel pen. I used my new White Flower Soft on the fur trim on Tilda's coat, this was the first time I used it.....it looks really cool (the pic doesn't do it justice). And finally the stickles on the ice. Oh I just love how stickles finishes off a card! I punched out the large snowflake from a clear window sheet and did it up with Twinklets Diamond Dust and the small ones were iced with......yep more Stickles!!

Here is a closer look at the image.
And a closer look at the snowflakes....too bad you can't see all the glitter, they just sparkle!!

Gobble Gobble Turkey- Stamptacular Sunday Challenge

Hi all~

I am doing a quick post today because my daughters are home visiting for the weekend and the guys are out hunting, so we are talking wedding plans. My youngest, Heidi, just got engaged and we are doing some brain storming for wedding ideas. How exciting!!
So I'm sneaking this one in for the Stamptacular Sunday Challenge for a Thanksgiving card. Nothing like waiting til the last day, huh? I just think this Mr. Turkey is so cute. I colored him with my copics, highlighted with a white gel pen and did a little doodling around the edge of the image. I stamped the "Gobble Gobble" on some twill tape that I had. The leaves are some artificial leaves I found last year at JoAnn's.

Basically a very quick and easy card.

This is a closer look at the image...
and a closer view of the twill tape. I glued some twine to the top and bottom of the tape to give it a more finished look.
Stamps: Whipper Snapper

DP: Debbie Mumm Stack from JoAnn's

Colour Create Challenge- Merry Kiss-mouse

Hi Everyone~

Hope you are all having a nice evening. This is a card I made for the Colour Create Challenge. The challenge is to use red, green and white. I had these little mice sitting on my stamping desk and have wanted to ink them up for a few days now, so I thought it would be great for this challenge.
Awwww.....aren't they just the sweetest little mice?
I used my copics to color this image and used my Nesties to cut out the circles. I did some dots with my white gel pen around the dark green circle to pick up some of the dots in the designer paper. The snowflake pattern on the background was made using an embossing folder and my Cuttlebug. I put stickles on the background, snowflake and on the image (even though it doesn't show up very well on the pic). I punced the snowflake out with a Martha Stewart punch and tied some floss through a button. That's about it.

Here is a closer look at the image and snowflake.
Stamps: Stampavie
Ink: Momento Tuxedo Black and Copics
0, E000, E01, E53, R00, R20, R14, R27, R46, R59, W00, W1, W3, W6, W8, B000, B41, YG05, YG07, YG09, YG11, G05, G28
Cardstock: SU Real Red, Green Galore, Glorious Green and White
Designer Paper: Pebbles Inc.
Stickles: Star Dust
Tools: Nestabilities, Cuttlebug and Martha Stewart Snowflake Punch

That's all for today, hope you all will return again soon and leave me a comment if you wish.

Whiff of Joy Challenge- Henry's Warm Wishes

Hi All~

I hope you all had a wonderful day. Today I made a card for the Whiff of Joy Challenge. I just LOOOOVE this little mouse. Isn't he just adorable? Here Henry is making a cup of hot cocoa for himself.......or maybe Santa....hmmm who knows.

I colored him with copics. And used this dp I had for a while, it's in a big stack from JoAnne's. The paper had a little bit of a grundgy look so I sponged a little ink around the image to grundge it up a bit. I wasn't sure if this was really working for me, so anyway this is how it turned out. I did a little faux stitching around the paper and used my Nesties to cut out the circles for the sentiment. That's about it.

Here is a closer looksy at the image.

Stamps: Whiff of Joy and the sentiment is from a little set I got a very long time ago from The Angel Company
Ink: Momento Tuxedo Black, SU Purely Pomegrante, Sahara Sand and Copics
Cardstock: SU Purely Pomegrante and Sage Shadow
Designer Paper: Stack
Ribbon: SU Rose Red and Sage Shadow
Button and Twine: Stash
Tools: Nestabilities, Cuttlebug, Scor Pal and Scor Bug
Punch: SU Scallop Border Punch

Mojo Monday Challenge- Milk & Cookie Break For Santa

Hi Everyone~

It's another lovely day here in central Wisconsin. The sun is shining and after the yucky October we had this November weather has been a very welcomed change. We all know it's not going to be long before the snow and cold are here to stay for a while......Brrrrr!
This is a card I made for the Mojo Monday Challenge. I just think this Santa is so darn cute. There are a few Santas in the new Whiff of Joy Winter Collection and one is as cute as the other. I colored him with my copics and highlighted with my white gel pen. And had to add some sparkle with my stickles. I wish the stickles would show up on the picture better, but it really adds to the image.

The designer paper is from Adornit and the cardstock is from Stampin' Up and Paper Cut. I didn't have any printed paper that I felt matched the dp I was using, so I stamped the Baja Breeze with a snowflake stamp and heat embossed with white embossing powder to make some. I tried it without the snowflakes and it just looked too blah.

This is a closer look at the colored image....

and a closer look at the tag. I used my SU punches to make the tag. For the sentiment I used a stamp from Studio G and embossed it in white to echo the snowflakes.
This is a side view of the card to show how I popped the image and the tag up a little to give it some dimension. I just love how this card turned out and I am just happy to have another Christmas card done!!! I can't believe how fast Christmas is coming, I haven't even really started my shopping yet. Yikes! Oh well- I think you get better deals closer to Christmas anyway!!!!
Stamps: Whiff of Joy, Great Impressions and Studio G
Ink: Momento Tuxedo Black and SU Whisper White
Copics: E000, 01, 31, 33 and 37, R20, 27 and 46, B000 and 41, BG 11 and 72, G28 and 82, C00, 1, 3, 6 and 8, W00, 1, 3 and 6, Y28, YG11
White Gel Pen and Gold Spica Pen
Embossing Powder: SU
Cardstock: SU Real Red, Certainly Celery and Baja Breeze and Noir from Paper Cut
Designer Paper: Adornit
Stickles: Star Dust and Xmas Red
Tools: Punches from SU
Ribbon: Stash
Thanks to you all that stop by and take time to look at my cards. I also would like to thank everyone for your kind comments. Please stop by again. I hope everyone will have a wonderful day!!

Tilda Pretty in Pink

Hi all~

Today was quite a fun day! My little nephew, who is five, spent the afternoon with us and kept us very busy. We played cards, he chased my cats around the house (I think they were ready for him to go home), he went with my husband to help feed the heifers outside and then they went for a little ride on the four wheeler to take some scrap apples to the woods for the wild critters to eat. He just had a blast hanging out with his unckie (that's what all of our little neices and nephews call my husband)....isn't that too funny?!! He is just a hoot to have around.
Today I have a birthday card I made for one of my neices. I just love this little Tilda, isn't she so sweet?! I used my copics to color her. And I highlighted it with my white gel pen.

I used my Nesties to cut the ovals. The flowers were punched with the Retro Flower punches from EK Success and the eyelet lace border with a Martha punch. A very simple card.

This is a closer view of the image all colored up.

Stamp: Magnolia
Inks: Momento Tuxedo Black and Copics
Cardstock: Bazzill
DP: heidi grace and Sandylion
Tools: Nestabilities, Cuttlebug, EK Success and Martha Stewart punches
Embellishments: Charm, Ribbon, Eyelets and Spacers from stash

That is it, hope you all had a great day and please let me a little comment if you'd like and come back and visit me again soon.

Wedding Carriage from Whiff of Joy

Hi all~

Today I am sharing the wedding card I made for my niece, Macie and her new hubby, Jesse. They were married on October 24th and had a beautiful outdoor wedding. Despite an early snowfall the night before. Luckily the sun came out and melted most of the snow and it turned out to be a very nice day. I've been wanting to get this one posted for a while, so here it is.

I used this very beautiful stamp from Whiff of Joy. I colored it with copics. I used white, ivory and gold to give it an elegant feel. Then I cut it out with my a circle Nestie but had to cut around the wheels and some of the leaves to make it fit in the circle. For the background paper I used Baroque Motifs set from Stampin' Up. I stamped it with Very Vanilla Craft Ink and embossed it with Satin Pearl embossing powder from Stampedous. The border across the center was made with a punch from Fiskars and the ribbon is from Michael's. I made the flowers with punches and pearls. I used my bone folder to give the flowers some dimension. The sentiment is from Inkadinkado. I added some more pearls and stickles to give it some sparkle.

A closer look at the image.
And a closer look at the flowers and bow.
I wish Macie and Jesse many happy years together. Congratulations to both of you.
Stamps: Whiff of Joy, Stampin' Up and Inkadinkado
Inks: Momento Tuxedo Black, SU Very Vanilla Craft, Encore Gold and Copics

Sketch Saturday Challenge

Hi everyone~
We are finally getting our 'Indian Summer', it's been just gorgeous here the last few days. It's nice to have a little Fall weather instead of the Winter we had been having.
Anyway- yesterday my mom and I took a little road trip to Wausau (about an hour away) and took in the Stamp and Scrap Expo that was held over there. We had such a good time and found lots of treasures. One really fun thing was I got to see Heidi from The Stamp Shoppe debut her brand spankin' new line of stamps she has created! I am very excited for her and her new venture. Heidi and her mom have a very nice stamp shop in the Wausau area. I love to go visit them, sometimes take in a class or two and give them my money. LOL You can find The Stamp Shoppe on my sidebar, go visit Heidi and check out her new stamps in her store.
So being that the last one didn't go too bad I decided to try another challenge. Today I played with one of my new stamps I bought from The Stamp Shoppe. Isn't he just adorable!? Heidi has a lot of penquins in her line and each one is as cute as he other. I stamped him with my Momento pad and colored him in with my copics. I cut the ovals with my Nesties and punched the scallops with the scalloped border punch from SU. The small snowflake was punched with a Martha Stewart punch and the big one with a Marvy Uchida punch. I faux stiched around the dp by using Scor Pal tool to make the "stitch holes" and my marker for "the thread".
Another cool thing Heidi was demonsrating was the Snow Marker. I used it on the tassel of the hat and also the snowballs. Sprinkling a little glitter before heating adds a little sparkle.
I don't think my sparkles showed up very well on my snow marker, igloo and snowflakes but it is there.
This is a close up of the image. He is so sweet.

And a close up of my embellishments.
Stamp: Stamp Shoppe Creations
Ink: Momento Tuxedo Black, Stampin' Up Soft Sky (sponging around edge) and Copics- W3, W6, W8, YR65, Y35, R14, BG72, BG75, B000, B95, B93, E43, E57
Paper: SU Blue Bayou, Soft Sky and Kraft
Designer Paper: unknown
Tools: SU scalloped border punch, MS snowflake punch, Marvy Uchida snowflake punch (blue), Nestabilities Ovals, Scor Pal and Scor Bug
Ribbon: SU Kraft Tafetta
Snow Marker: Marvy Uchida
Glitter: Martha Stewart Crystal Fine Glitter
Brads and Spacers: Stash
Well I hope you all had a great weekend. Thanks for stopping by and come again.

Last of the Shoebox Cards

Hello All~

These are the last two cards we made at our last gathering. Both of the projects were brought by my friend Tracy. On the first one Tracy again used that adorable digital image from Mo's Digital Pencil. She showed us how you can resize the images to suit you needs. Isn't that just so cool about these digital images. How many times have you had a stamp you would like to use but the size wasn't right for the project?? We made a folded card that would be great to enclose a gift card or even some other sort of small flat gift.
Here is the card tied with multiple colored ribbons..... and here it is opened. We colored the image with copics. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up and punched with the slot punch.

A close up view of the image.
The next one is from a card kit that Tracy had got a while back. It included these neat vellum envelopes. The insde card pulls out with the attached ribbon. The entire card fits into a square envelope.

We used this really cute Santa from Great Impressions (I really like cute Santas). We again used our copics. As you can tell copics are our weapon of choice.

This is the inside part of the card.
Hope you enjoyed the rest of our shoebox cards, I thought I better get them all posted before we meet again and create more projects to share. I hope you will all have a wonderful weekend and come back to see me again. Thank you for letting me share with you.
