Some Shoebox Cards made with friends

Hi all~
Today I am showing you some of the cards I made on Tuesday with my dear friends,
Dorothy, Tracy and Donna.
I got my Mom to come with me this time, because she wants to start a new hobby.
She doesn't really know what she is in for. But I think she has already caught the bug.
I think we will see her face around our table more often now.
Here are some of our Shoebox Cards that I made with the girls.
We love to get together and share ideas, gab, catch up, eat lunch and stamp the day away.
We each bring two projects to share. The first one was brought by Dorothy and
she used this fun Whipper Snapper stamp To make this cute Christmas card.
It is colored with copics and we added doodles with a doodler pen.
Some stickles on the snow give it a little sparkle.
The background paper was made by running the white core paper through
the Cuttlebug with an embossing folder and then sanded lightly.

Here is a close up of the colored image.

This Christmas card project was brought by Donna. We again used the Cuttlebug with an embossing folder to make the background. The stamped image is from Stampin' Up and punched with the Scalloped Square from SU. It is a very clean and simple card.

Sometimes we need those!

This is a card suitable for any occassion and was quick and simple too. It looks so sharp and clean with the black and white. The bird stamp is from SU (Ibelieve it is in their hostess line) and embossed with a black sparkly embossing powder. Dorothy LOVES to emboss that is why she is known as the embossing queen. We again used the Cuttlebug for the background.

We just LOVE our Cuttlebugs!!!!!!

This is a close up of the image.

Hope you enjoyed our cards and I do have more to share soon. Hope you all have a great weekend and a fun time with all your little spooks and goblins that may visit your door this weekend.

Thanks for looking,

Lisa

Kitty goes for a ride again!!

Hi everyone!
Hope your day is going well. The sun is kinda out today, much nicer than it has been lately.
I have no idea what happened to our Fall......it's MIA!
We seem to have gone right to Winter- ARRGGG!
Hopefully we will get some nice weather yet.
This is a card I made using that cute little Whipper Snapper stamp again.
Sorry it is very similar to an earlier post,
but I was excited to use this designer paper
and try it in these colors. This paper is kinda cool~ it is embossed and
has some sparkle to it (doesn't show up well in the pic).
She is colored with copics and highlghted withthe white gel pen.
The flowers were punched with a Stampin' Up punch
as is the tag at the bottom with the sentiment on it.
The leaves are punched with a Martha Stewart punch
and the brads are from my stash.
I layered the flowers and used my bone folder
to give the a little dimension by curling the petals up.
Here is a closer looksy at the colored image.

....and the inside.

Stamps: Whipper Snapper Designs and Stampin' Up
Paper: Cloud 9 Designs, Bazzill and Stampin Up'
Ink: Momento, Copics and Stampin' Up
Tools: Martha Stewart and Stampin' Up punches
Embellishments: brads and rick rack are from my stash

Thanks for looking. Hope you all have a wonderful day!

What a cute little mouse from Stampavie

Hi all~

It is another cold Wisconsin day...rainy and just plain yucky. A big pot of soup sounds good. Doesn't sound like it is going to be nice for a while-
oh well it's a good excuse to stay in and stamp! Yeah!!

My post today is a card I made for a friend that has been sick.
Hoping it will cheer her up and send her get well wishes.

I just got this cute stamp from 7 Kids College Fund, it is from Stampavie and
designed by Tina Wenke. The stamps in her collection are all soooo cute.
I just think this one is adorable and it was so fun to color.
I stamped it in black and colored it with copics and used a few of
my Stampin Up markers too (because of my limited collection of copics).
I used my Nesties to cut out the ovals and added some dots on
the scalloped one with my white gel pen.
The yellow paper is from Bazzil (sorry don't remember the name of the color),
green is Certainly Celery from Stampin Up,
the orange is from a paper pad I picked up at JoAnn's.
The orange is cuttlebugged with the Swiss Dot embossing folder and sanded a bit.
The white is punched with a Martha border punch.
I then added some punched flowers and leaves and some white dots with the old gel pen again and then finished them with some flat backed pearls.
Stamped the sentiment with my Certainly Celery pad using a stamp from Stampin Up.
And last but not least...yep the stickles.

Thanks for looking.

Birthday wish Tilda

Hello friends~

It is sure getting cold here....feels like we skipped autumn and went into winter!
Winter is NOT my favorite season. Hopefully we will still get some warmer weather yet
before the snowflakes fly through the air.

I made this card for my friend's birthday, hope she likes it. I used this adorable Tilda
(but aren't they all??) stamped her in black and colored her with copics and
highlighted with a white gel pen.

Then I cut her out...wew it takes time to cut those images out like that,
but they look so cute when they are cut out completely.

I then used Old Olive, Ruby Red and So Safron cardstock from Stampin' Up and some
decorative paper from heidi grace. I used my Nestabilities to cut the ovals. Not sure if you can see it but I added some dots with my Old Olive marker around the So Safron oval.

I popped one of her boots up with a foam dot to mke it appear in front of the other
(sorry I am not the best photographer).

I folded over the corner on the striped paper and added a button tied with a little twine.
Added some lace and ribbon and finally finished with some primas with brads and
a sprig of leaves punched with a Martha Stewart punch.
The lace, ribbon, button, primas and brads are all from my stash.

Thanks again for looking. Wishing you all a wonderful evening.

"Twin" cards

Okay here I go again, I am going to give this another try I still have LOTS to learn about this blogging. I am trying to make this appealing to the eye. It's not going the way I want it to. Stamper I am...Blogger/computer expert I am not! Anyhow I wanted to share these two cards I made for two very special little girls as they celebrated their first birthday. I used this absolutely adorable Whipper Snapper stamped it in black and colored it with copics. I then chalked some clouds in the background. I used my Nestabilities to cut it out along with the scalloped mats. The background paper is from heidi grace designs and is so cool it has flocked flowers and a pearly finish to it. I then used a Martha Stewart punch to make the border and added some ribbon. I also punched out some leaves and flowers added polka dots to the flowers with my white gel pen and finally (even though it doesn't show up on the pic real well) added some stickles to the flowers in the wagon and grass. I love stickles and glitter! I hope you enjoy looking as much as I enjoyed making these cards for Laney and Rylee.
