Gone Fishin'

Hello Friends~

I hope you are all having a wonderful holiday weekend. It is very HOT out there....they tell us tomorrow evening we may see.......or should I say hear some thunder boomers.......hopefully it will wait til the fireworks are over. However you celebrate make sure to have fun and stay safe!

I made this card for little nephew's birthday and thought it would be a perfect post being that so many are heading to the lake for camping and fishing this weekend.
I used this adorable little stamp from High Hopes called Time Well Spent. I used my copics to color the image and applied some crystal lacquer to the water to give it a 'wet' appearance. Don't these two just look like they are having the best time?

I added a real fish hook to the card.....had the hubby remove the sharp barb.....this leads me to a kinda funny story about when I went to our little local hardware store to buy them......the nice gentleman asked me if I needed any help.....I replied that I think I found what I needed....I was looking at the size and color of the metal.....he said well maybe if I knew what kind of fish are you fishing for?.....I told him I wasn't going fishing with them.....he looked at me with a puzzled look and said well what are going to do with fish hooks then?.....I said "Oh if I tell you...you will think I am crazy"....well then I thought that didn't sound so good either.....so I told him I make cards and was going to use them as an embellishment on a card I am making with fish on it.....he told me he didn't think I was crazy....but he still looked a little puzzled so I'm not so sure!

Here's a closer looksie at the image

This is an easel card so here is the inside....the little fish on the pop up is off of a Penny Black stamp with Hedgehogs Fishing.

Hope you enjoyed my card....oh I love reading your sweet comments!
Enjoy the weekend everyone! We are going to my Mom and Dad's for a family cookout.....yummmm can't wait!!

Stamps: High Hopes Penny Black and Stampin' Up
Paper: CS is from SU and DP is from 3 Bugs in a Rug
Inks: Memento, SU and Copics
Tools: SU and Martha Stewart punches
Embellishments: stash

Mojo Monday Challenge Week #142

Hello~

I hope you are enjoying your weekend.....it isn't very nice here....we need some sunshine!!

This is a card I made for the Mojo Monday Challenge and I also took it to our shoebox gathering on Tuesday as one of my projects.

I used a stamp from Shadow Box for my image, stamped it in Sahara Sand from Stampin' Up and put a little white flocking on it. The sentiment is from one of my favorite SU sets and I am so sad to see it is being discontinued this time around. It is called 'Close as a Memory'. This is a simple card but I thought it turned out to be a perfect Sympathy card. I used my Martha punches for the edge at the bottom and the butterflies. The sentiment was punched with my old Marvy punches.
Here is a look at the image.......

....and a side view to try and show the flocking.

Stamps: Shadow Box and Stampin' Up
Ink: Stampin' Up
Paper: Bazzill and Stampin Up
Tools: Martha Stewart and Marvy Punches
Flocking and Ribbon from my stash

Well there it is...hope you will let me a few kind words if you like it....and have a marvelous day.

Congratulations Jane & Sam

Hello Friends~

My friend's daughter got married this week.....this is a card I made for them...and then I just happened to notice that this card fit perfectly in the challenge over at Stamptacular Sunday. So congrats to Jane and Sam and yipee another challenge done for me!!

I used this stamp set from Inkadinkado....stamped it with SU Very Vanilla Craft Ink and heat embossed it with Satin Pearl EP from Stampendous. I used my oval Nesties and popped up the image with pop dots. The flower was made using my Retro Flower punches and layering them up. The paper is just the most beautiful pearly paper...which the camera does not pick up.....I used my Cuttlebug and embossing folder for the background. The ribbon and pearls are left overs I have had in my stash since I made my daughter's wedding invites two years ago. A very simple card but I do like how it turned out.....simple but elegant!

Here is a close up of the image....wish you could see the pearlyness of it all.....I think that is another word I made up.

Stamps: Inkadinkado
Paper: Paper Cut
Ink: SU and Encore
Embossing Powder: Stampendous
Tools: Punches from EK Success, Cuttlebug and Nestabilities
Other supplies: Pearls and Ribbon from my stash

Thanks for stopping by.....I love reading your comments and please come back again.
Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Double Challenge

Hi Everyone~

A short but sweet posting for you today. I made this card for two challenges the one over at "Friday Sketchers" and also "Just Magnolia" and need to get it posted or I will miss the challenges.

I used this cute little Tilda......colored her up with my Copics, cut her out with my Nestabilities and then sponged a little ink before removing the die and finally added some stickles around the image. I made the outer lacey mat by first using the scalloped circle and then punching with one of my Martha corner punches......because the challenge over at Magnolia was lace!!

here she is......and I noticed that this poor little Tilda put her shoes on the wrong feet when she got dressed this morning!! Oh well maybe she is just learning!!!!

And yep I made another easel card.....I just love them!! I put some little Martha butterflies on the image and the greeting to keep the little butterfly Tilda is holding company!!!

....and here is the inside greeting....I did a little piercing to the scalloped oval to hopefully add some more laceyness.......hmmm is that a word?........guess it is now.

Stamps: Magnolia and SU
Ink: Memento, Copics and SU
Paper: Best Creations Inc., Boxer Scrapbookers and Stampin' Up Melon Mambo
Tools: Cuttlebug, Nesties and Martha Stewart punches
Embellishments: Stickles, Rhinestones and Flower Ribbon from my stash

Well off I am.....have a lovely evening and let me a comment if you would like....I would like it if you did!

A Cupful of Fun!

Hi All~

Today I have a quick post.....the outdoors is calling me. It seems like the lawn needs to be mowed every other day.

This was an older sketch from a challenge I printed off a few weeks back and despite good intentions never got it done.
I used this cute little mouse in a tea cup from Stampavie designed by Tina Wenke. It is very fun to color......I used my copic markers and stickles. I just love this paper from My Mind's Eye...so fun and summery. I also did a little piercing along the edges.

Here is a closer look at the image.......

...and a view of it opened up as an easel.....

...and a close up of the sentiment which is from Stampin' Up.

Stamps: Stampavie and SU
Inks: Memento, Copics and SU
Tools: Cuttlebug, Nestabilities and Retro Flower punch from EK Success
Paper: by MME and Bazzill
Embellies: stash
Stickles: Stardust

I hope you are having a beautiful day. And please come back to see me again....leave me a comment if you like what you see. I love hearing from you. Thanks for looking.

Happy Birthday Lizzie!

Hi Everyone~

I know it has been a long time....there is just so much to do this time of year. The weather has been beautiful here.....we could definitely use some rain though. It is just hard to find time to sit down and stamp.

This is a card I made for my sweet little niece, Lizzie.....she turned nine on Sunday......so we had a very nice time celebrating her birthday with her this weekend. I am entering this card in the Sketch Saturday Challenge for week #105. This was a very fun sketch to work with. I used this adorable Stampavie stamp from Penny Johnson....isn't it cute? I colored this little guy (or girl) with copics and cut it out with the oval Nestabilities. The outer oval is one of big scalloped ovals.
Here is a closeup of the butterfly....I added lots of stickles to it to make it sparkle.....

...and here is the image with the little bow and butterflies, which I also stickled all up! I used a lace edge punch from Martha Stewart for the bottom edge and added some pretty pink rhinestones.

This is the inside of the card....again the Martha punch and rhinestones. The sentiment is from Whipper Snapper and also colored with copics. I added some stickles to this again and put another little punched butterfly over top of the little birdie that is on the stamp....the butterfly just went better with this gorgeous designer paper.

And finally the card displayed.

Stamps: Stampavie and Whipper Snapper
Ink: Memento and Copics
Paper: DP- Basic Creations Inc. Cardstock- Bazzill and American Crafts
Tools: Cuttlebug, Nestabilities, Martha Stewart and Stampin' Up punches
Stickles: Stardust, Lime Greeen and Yellow
Rhinestones & Ribbon: Stash

That is it....and I will try to get back a little sooner. I appreciate your comments and would love to know you were here. Thanks for looking and please check in again.
Have a wonderful day...and enjoy the summer weather!!!

Enjoy Life's Simple Pleasures

Hello Friends~

Oh the weather outside is frightful......after having a good start to such a beautiful spring......we are now getting SNOW!!! I think Mother Nature needs to tell Old Man Winter it is time to pack his bags and go on vacation for at least 6 months! One good thing is....it won't last long this time of year!!!!

I have a card today made with another Sarah Kay stamp from Stampavie.....they are all so darn cute! I again used my Copics to color her and her little puppy.....cut her out using my Oval Nesties and the Big Scalloped Ovals for the matte. I added some stickles to the image and also around the oval image. This beautiful DP is from My Mind's Eye and the cardstock is from Stampin' Up.

Here's the image....I only wish the stickles would photograph better. I just love this little cutie.
I made the card into an easel card. This is still my favorite card to make.

This sentiment is from Studio G.........a dollar stamp from Michael's.........gotta love those dollar stamps! The large flower is from Prima and the little one and the brad in the center are from heidi grace.

Stamps: Stampavie and Studio G
Inks: Memento, SU and Copics
Paper: MME and SU
Tools: Nesties, Cuttlebug, SU Scalloped Border Punch
Embellishments: Stardust Stickles, Flowers from Prima and heidi grace, Buttons and twine from my stash

Thanks for looking and I hope you are having a warm and beautiful day wherever you are!! As always if you like.......let a few kind words in the comments. Thank you.

Hi All~
Whew...it has been a while. Last week was a blur....we celebrated my in-laws 50th Wedding Anniversary on Saturday and we were all busy with preparations for that.......we had a lovely time and it was great seeing so many people we don't get to see often.

This a little card I made using one of my new Sarah Kay stamps from Stampavie. Ooooo isn't she just adorable? They are all so darn cute! I used my Copics to color her in and added some Stardust Stickles. I then cut the image out with my Octagonal Nesties and did a little faux stitching around the outside. I LOVE this paper....it is from My Mind's Eye.....the cardstock is from SU and Bazzill. I embossed the strip of Taken with Teal in my Cuttlebug and added a lacey punched border. The sentiment is from SU........

....here is a closer look at this little sweetie! The flowers were made using a SU punch and the swirl is an EK Success punch.....added a few little pearls and that is it.

Stamps: Stampavie and Stampin' Up
Ink: Memento, SU and Copics
Paper: MME, SU and Bazzill
Tools: Nestabilities, SU, MS and EKS punches
Embellies: Ribbon from SU and pearls and clip from stash

I just had to share this picture of the rainbow that was over our farm on Sunday evening with all of you.........it was a full rainbow and just so vivid and beautiful (too bad the camera can't capture it's true beauty!).
That is it for today....hopefully I will get another post in soon. {fingers crossed}! I hope you are all having a wonderful day and hope you will stop back again soon. As always I love reading your comments!

Birthday Card Box

Hi~
I had to do this in two posts, because it wouldn't let me upload all the pictures in one. There may be a way around this but.....I am not a computer whiz.

Any how this is a card/gift box I made for a friends birthday. I came up with this idea and no I didn't write down the dimensions or have instructions....sorry. But let me say it was quite a challenge. Sometimes we need to do that....helps keep the brain strong! LOL

This is the front of the box. I used this adorable Stampavie stamp. I just love this one and can't wait to use it again. I colored this little guy (or girl) with my copics and did some highlights with Gellyroll pens and then finished it with a kick of sparkle with Stickles. I then used my Big Scalloped Square Nestie to cut it out and put some more Stickles around the image.
...here is a close up of the image. Oh and how fun this was to color!!

Make sure to look at the following post for more about this project.

Card Gift Box Continued........

......here is a pic of the flowers I made for the front of the box. I used punches from EK Success. I added some stickles to the edges to give them a little sparkle.

This is a side view of the box.

Here is a look at the inside...

the left side with a Stampin' Up sentiment. The border punch is from Martha Stewart......

....and the right side of the inside.....just perfect for a little unmounted stamp....what else would you give a stamping friend? Here again are some of the flowers I made. I used one of my Nestabilities to cut the top of the 'box' and put some stickles around the edge. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up and punched out with SU punches. Whew!! this was quite a project...especially when you don't have a pattern. I have many pieces of scrap paper on my desk...and there were a few words said!!! But I am glad I kept at it and I really like the final product. I hope my dear friend loved it as much as I love how it turned out! Happy Birthday Tracy!

Stamps: Stampavie and Stampin' Up
Paper: SU, Bazzill and For Peep's Sake from Imaginisce
Ink: Memento, SU, Gellyroll pens and Copics
Embellishments: Brads, Spacers, Stardust Stickles and Ribbon from my stash
Tools: Nestabilities, Punches from EK Success, Martha Stewart and SU and I couldn't have done it without my Martha scoring board

Hope you are breathing in some wonderful Spring air! Have a beautiful day and as always I love to hear from all of you. Thanks for stopping in to see me.

Birthday Wishes Turtle

Hello Again!~

I kinda used the Mojo Monday sketch to make another card.....I guess you could say it got my mojo going! I needed to make a birthday card for one of the gals in our Birthday Card Club, so here it is.

This cute little fellow is from Whipper Snapper. I again used my Copics to color him in and did a little doodling around the oval. The ovals were cut out using my trusty old Cuttlebug and Nestabilities. I put a tiny little brad in the center of the flower....and added some stickles.

Here is a closer view of the image.

Stamp: Whipper Snapper
Paper: SU, Bazzill and DP from Imaginice
Inks: Memento and Copics
Misc: Brads from my stash, Flower from Heidi Grace and Stickles

Thanks for visiting again.

Mojo Monday Challenge Week #133

Hi~

Today I am sharing a card I made for the Mojo Monday Challenge. It is so much fun doing these sketch challenges.

I used this cute little Tilda with her little basket of flowers. I used my Copics to color her in and did a little chalking around the Nestability before I removed it. I then dabbed some Stickles around the border of the oval....I wish the glitz showed up better on the picture than it does. The pretty flowered paper has glitter on it too....but isn't photographing well either.

.....and here is a closer looksey at the image.

Stamps: Magnolia
Paper: SU, Basic Creations and Bo Bunny
Ink: Memento and Copics
Tools: Martha Stewart border punch, Cuttlebug and Nesties
Miscellaneous: Stickles and Rhinestones from my stash

That is it.....a quick post for today. Hopefully you will like what you see....if you do let me a comment below. Thanks for stopping by. And come back soon.

Flying By With a Birthday Wish For Isaac

Hello~

I hope you all had a great Easter. We had an Easter Egg Hunt at Mom and Dad's. I, along with my hubby, daughter and niece hid them in their yard.....I guess we hid some of them too good because we couldn't find all of them. I am thinking Mom and Dad will be finding eggs when they start mowing the lawn and weeding the flower beds. Oh well Grandma and Grandpa have to have a little fun too....

This is a card I made for my cute little nephew, Isaac, who just turned 3! I used this sweet Pilot Bradley from Whipper Snapper......I added his name to the banner at the back of the plane. The image is colored with Copic markers and I added some glitter to the clouds and lacquer to the goggles. I also did some doodling around the outside of the image.

Here is a closer look at this cute little mouse flying his plane. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up and heat embossed with white embossing powder.

This is the inside of the easel card. The "you're the best!" stamp is a dollar stamp I found at Michael's.

And finally all displayed.

Stamps: Whipper Snapper, Stampin' Up and Michael's
Ink: Memento, SU and Copics
Paper: SU-Green Galore and Pacific Point, DP from Best Creations
Tools: Loop Punch from Martha Stewart and Nestabilities
Misc: Buttons and Ribbon from my stash.

Well I sure hope you are all enjoying your spring, our March was more beautiful than we could have asked for....hopefully April will be the same. Take care and I love to read your comments.

Mojo Monday Challenge Week 130

Hi Everyone~

I made this little card for the Mojo Monday Challenge.....nothing like waiting until the last day!

I used this cute little baby in a tub stamp from High Hopes and colored it in with my copics. I also added lots of stickles to all the bubbles but you can never see all the sparkle on the picture. The scalloped Nestie is the new large scalloped squares from Spellbinders. The paper used for the circle is the reverse of the yellow daisy paper.

Here is a closer look at the image popped up on the card.

Stamps: High Hopes
Ink: Memento and Copics
Paper: Imaginisce- Pretty New Dress, SU Soft Sky and Bazzill Daisy
Tools: Cuttlebug, Nestabilities, Martha Stewart Lace Border Punch and Tonic Studios Bibbon Punch
Embellishments: Ribbon and Pearls from my stash Stardust Stickles

That is my Mojo Monday Challenge. I hope you all are having a great weekend. Check back soon and I appreciate your comments.

High Hopes Gift Set

Hi~

Oh today is a beauty....it just worries me that this weather can't last too long this time of year. Oh well I guess we should enjoy it while we have it!!

Today I am sharing a card and gift bag I made for, my friend, Donna's Birthday. Both images are from High Hopes and I used my copics to color them. Aren't these little girls both so darn cute. I like them because they remind me of my little country girls when they where younger....barefoot and all.

This is a closer look at this cute little gal with her lightning bugs in a jar. I did a little doodling around the image and added a little ladybug button in the corner....It is hard to find lightning bug buttons and charms but I thought a bug is a bug! I also put some crystal lacquer on the jar so it would look 'glassy'....and this little tiny button brad on her bibs.

Here we have the inside of the easel card. This sentiment is from Stampin' Up. I used this really cool loop punch from Martha. You can also see the little dragonfly charm hanging from the bow in this shot too.....yep a bug is a bug!!!

And here is the card and matching gift bag. Shhhhh! In the bag are some stamps.....what else do you give a stamper???

....and finally a close up of the bag. I added a leaf branch or two..... didn't want her to look like she was swinging from nowhere.

Stamps: High Hopes and Stampin' Up
Paper: Stampin' Up and Paper Pizzazz
Ink: Memento and Copics
Embellishments: Stash
Tools: Martha Stewart Loop Punch, SU Circle and Scalloped Circle Punches and Little Leaf Sizzlit from SU

That is it, hope you like what you see. Let a little comment if you wish and please come again.
Thanks for looking!
